In addition to good barrier properties, cosmetic packaging materials are also crucial for their functionality and decoration. Cosmetic packaging materials are mainly divided into two categories: main packaging and auxiliary packaging. The parts in direct contact with cosmetics are called main packaging, including various glass bottles, plastic bottles, hoses, etc; The parts that do not come into direct contact with cosmetics are called excipient packaging, and generally include various packaging boxes, cosmetic bags, paper labels, etc.

1、 Plastic Bottle

The materials of plastic bottles are usually PP, PE, AS, ABS, Acrylic, PET, PETG, etc.

Generally used for injection molding of cream bottles, caps, stoppers, gaskets, pump heads, and dust covers with thicker walls in cosmetics containers; PET bottle blowing is a two-step molding process, tube embryo injection molding, and finished product packaging is bottle blowing. Others, such as lotion bottles and washing bottles with thinner container walls, are blow bottles.

2、 Glass Bottle

Glass bottles are divided into wide mouth bottles and narrow mouth bottles. Solid pastes are generally used in wide mouth bottles, and should be equipped with electrochemical aluminum caps or plastic caps; Emulsion or aqueous paste generally use narrow mouth bottle, and pump head should be equipped. Attention should be paid to prevent spring and ball from rusting. Most pump heads are equipped with glass beads, and material body test is usually required. If a cover is equipped, an inner plug is required. If a water agent is equipped with a small hole, it is the same as an inner plug, and thicker lotion is equipped with a large hole inner plug.

The selection of glass bottles is relatively consistent, with a variety of shapes, rich processing techniques, and diverse combinations with bottle caps. Common bottle shapes include cylindrical, elliptical, flat, prismatic, and tapered shapes. Factories often develop a series of bottle shapes.

3、Plastic Tube

Plastic Tube are divided into single layer, double layer, and five layer hoses, which are different in terms of pressure resistance, penetration resistance, and hand feel. For example, the five layer tube consists of an outer layer, an inner layer, two adhesive layers, and an additional barrier layer. Features: Excellent gas barrier performance, effectively preventing the infiltration of oxygen and odorous gases, as well as preventing the exudation of the contents, aroma, and effective ingredients.
